A favorite from the 2024 annual Inktober challenge, in which I combined themes from two lists, resulting in a two-word prompt each day. This one was “pond beast” and was created with watercolors, colored pencils, Copic marker, and ink. Inspired by a scene in one of my most-loved picture books from childhood, The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig by Eugene Trivizas and Helen Oxenbury, I realized my own version of a water-lily bath for this wildebeest to enjoy.
